Ingredients
2.5cupssoft white wheatfinely milled
1tsp.baking soda
1tsp.ground cinnamon
1tsp.ground cloves
1tsp.ground ginger
1tsp.ground allspice
1/2tsp.salt
1/2cupbuttersoftened
3/4cupmaple syrup or honey
1/4cupmolasses
2large eggs
1/2cupcoarse sugar for rolling.
Instructions
Into a medium sized bowl, combine flour, baking soda, spices and salt.
In a second bowl, cream together the maple syrup, butter and molasses until smooth.
Add eggs to the butter mixture and whisk until combined.
Add the flour/dry ingredients to the butter mixture until just combined, don’t over-mix.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight
After the dough has chilled, preheat oven to 375* F. and line a baking sheet with parchment
Using a teaspoon cookie scoop, scoop the cookie dough and roll into a ball with your palms. Roll the dough in the coarse sugar and place on the baking sheet.
