Ingredients
Cookie Dough:
1cupfresh milled soft white wheat flourfinely milled (115 grams)
1/2teaspoonbaking powder
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/4cupunsalted buttersoftened (58 grams)
1/4cupmaple syrup78 grams
1egg yolk
1teaspoonvanilla
Frosting:
1cuppowdered sugar100 grams
1/2teaspoonvanilla
2-3tablespoonsmilk
Instructions
Cream butter and maple syrup until fluffy.
Add the egg yolk and vanilla and combine.
Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined, do not over mix.
Place the cookie dough onto a piece of parchment or plastic wrap, flatten into a disk and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and remove the dough from fridge to soften slightly.
Roll out onto floured surface to 1/4" thick and cut into desired shapes.
Bake for 8 minutes or until slightly golden brown on the edges, don't over cook!
