Biscuit Dough:
3cupsfreshly milled kamuteinkorn, or soft white wheat flour, finely milled (390 grams)
2teaspoonsbaking powder
½teaspoonbaking soda
¾teaspoonsalt
5tablespoonsCOLD buttergrated with cheese grater (72 grams)
1cupbuttermilk258 grams
Egg Mixture:
1lbcooked and drained Italian sausage
2cupsshredded cheese140 grams
8eggs
1 ¾cupmilk435 grams
2teaspoonsdried basil
1 ½teaspoonssalt
½teaspoonpepper
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
Instructions
Grease a 9x13 inch dish and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare the biscuit dough by combining the dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. Grate in cold butter and mix with your hands until the butter is covered in flour and resembles coarse sand. Rub the flour and butter mixture between your hands to full incorporate.
Add buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
